Worst things about iOS7 to me

Not all that bad, unless we want to be really picky about everything new in iOS7. I got used to iOS 7 within a day.

The only thing I missed from previous iOS is the ability to "Search in Safari" button from the Spotlight. I use that a lot. Now in iOS7 we cannot do that jump search to Safari. Instead, we need to open Safari and do the search.

There is one little annoyance, when we swipe up, it will go to the next app instantly. That is not the normal behaviuor.

I really loved the new iOS7, but the one feature I miss from iOS6 is the ability to post to Twitter/Facebook through the notification centre. Now I have to go into the apps themselves or use those apps that are integrated but can't tweet without having to log in elsewhere.

With cutting edge hardware, the latest version of Android, and the best Google apps -- Nexus 4 puts the world's information at your fingertips.


I really enjoy the feel of the phone after putting a slim case on it.  The size is nice and large, but not obnoxious like the Note.  The buttons are slim but easy to find and push.  Wifi and bluetooth turn on and activate swiftly.  One other gripe is that the front surrounding edge seems to bed soft.  After some light drops and falls, the chrome corners seem to dent and chips easily.  The phone has a nice weight but the finish detracts from that.


Apple introduces the new iPhone 5S

Apple has confirmed the iPhone 5s will come in a gold version as well as grey (black) and silver.


The iPhone 5S measures in at 4.87 inches high, 2.31 inches wide and 0.30 inches deep. It weighs less than 4 ounces -- 3.95 to be exact.

The iPhone 5S will include a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, allowing users to unlock their device with the touch of a finger.

Not only will this be a huge step forward in smartphone protection, it can also be used to make iTunes purchases. Instead of typing in a password every time you buy a song or app, pressing your fingerprint against the scanner will bypass that step.

The iPhone 5S comes with a powerful new processor: the Apple A7. It packs more than 1 billion transistors into a 102mm chip. It can run 64-bit apps (all previous models ran at 32 bits).

The iPhone's camera comes with major improvements, thanks to new sensors that have 15% more area and an f/2.2 aperture. It also comes with a dual-LED flash and new software features, such as filters and a burst mode that snaps 10 still pictures in one second with automatic image stabilization.

Apple is making it easier to group photos and videos based on time and place. It's displayed almost like a mosaic on screen.

Apple also launched a new lineup of iPhone 5 cases in a variety of colors.

The iPhone 5S will go on sale Sept. 20 in nine countries: the United States, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and the UK. Like previous generations, it will come with 16, 32 or 64GB of storage for $199, $299 and $399, respectively — as long as you sign a two-year contract with AT&T, Verizon or Sprint (T-Mobile's installment pricing is somewhat different).

The iPhone 5C comes in five flavors: blue, green, yellow, pink and white.

The iPhone 5C has the same measurements as the iPhone 5 and 5S, but it's constructed from soft silicon rubber, rather than anodized aluminum.

The iPhone 5C will ship with iOS 7, Apple's completely re-engineered mobile operating system. The device also includes an A6 chip and a slightly larger battery than the iPhone 5.

The rear camera is 8 megapixels, and comes with back-side illumination and a hybrid IR filter. It also supports more LTE bands than any other smartphone in the world.

Pre-orders start on Sept. 13, and the iPhone 5C will go on sale on Sept. 20 in the United States, China, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom. By December, the iPhone 5C will be available in over 100 countries and on 270 carriers.

The iPhone is not even low-cost, the price difference is not enough to seriously compete with the cheaper Android phones.

BBM on iPhone

A lot of people want BBM because they have friends that still are on BLACKBERRY. Those people that still have blackberries will jump to iOs or Android once BBM for these platforms comes out. But once they all switch, BBM is not needed any more.

The reason why BlackBerry has done poorly with its mobile division is due to bad or insufficient marketing.

They would have been better of changing their brand name entirely, so that people wouldn't continue to associate them with the "old" and therefore perceived to be "outdated" and no longer "cutting edge" keyboard phones.

The execution of introducing their new phones was untimely (after-holiday season), delayed (took a long time to hit the market after being announced), and unprepared (BB10's preliminary glitches, over complicated gestures and lack of apps; the latter of which they could have stocked up on during their hey days).

Bigger iPhones in 2014?

Speculators have already moved on to what the company will do next with its mobile phone that Apple will increase the iPhone screen size from 4 inches to 4.5 or 5 inches next year.

I think the only read trade off will be how Apple will have to deal with resolution. They were going on and on about their "Retina" display and now their iPhone has one of the lowest PPIs on the market. If they keep the resolution the same and make the screen larger (not just longer) the PPI will drop even lower and it will be destroyed by competitors 1080p screens as the current iPhone display is already.

If they change the resolution again they will have problems with their apps due to the way iOS is and would probably use some other non-standard resolution.

The only trade off's that need to be figured out by Apple is how the display will become low quality non-retina if they just go larger, or how they will have to deal with another cumbersome resolution. They put themselves in a corner and now have to figure out how to get out of it to compete and they try to spin this off as "Our competitors have signification trade offs for their large screen phones" but never say or mention what those trade offs are.

Apple's September 10 iPhone Event Now Official


Apple will unveil a lower-cost iPhone 5C as well as a more expensive iPhone 5S on special event on September 10 at the Apple Campus in Cupertino.

I love iOS7. It takes lots of courage to change the legacy iOS look and feel and give it a fresh new look. Now iOS is ready for multiple colored devices. I know many people did not like, but I liked new iOS7 a lot.

There were a couple of functional improvements, like the zoomed levels, the control panel, and the new task manager, but they're offset by the barely legible font, (actually increased from the initial nearly invisible version), the gratuitous and obscuring transparency, and the abandonment of distinctions between buttons and labels.

Candy Crush tricks to get more lives

You only get five lives at a time, so you'll have to wait up to 30 minutes for another life should you exhaust all of yours -- unless you buy more or a Facebook friend steps in to grant you more.

Wanna hear a trick?

Are you having a hard time beating a level? Ran out of lives on that impossible level?

Exit the game, go into your phone's date and time settings, and set your clock up 3 hours. Go back into the game and there! You should have 5 lives. Just exit the game again and readjust your time and you're all set.

I'm on 108 (no cheats, no money spent) in about 2 months and the worst part is always charging your phone. But I will stop once I pass my friend... thats on level 300+.

iPhone 5C has leaked pics

New iPhone widely known as the iPhone 5C, Apple's low-cost iphone has leaked pics from China comes on pink, blue and yellow color.

Expected to be unveiled next week on September 10 the iPhone 5C alongside a more expensive iPhone 5S.

iPhone 5C could cost around $400-500. At that price I would only want it if it had a retina screen, decent camera and ran smoothly on iOS7 with decent internals.

Though as it's Apple, if it is released, it'll sell in large numbers.




iOS 7 is coming

September 10th is the official iOS 7 release date. Just a few more weeks until we get iOS7!

I have tried it to myself using the Beta version and it's totally awesome, i love the new look and more enhancement like redesigned App Store, Weather, Maps and Calculator.

I'm already enjoying this while you guys wait for the official release date. :D
